Policies

  • Privacy Policy
  • Terms of Service
  • Refund Policy

The short version: we collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website unless you choose “Accept all” in our cookie banner. You can contact us at any time to access, correct, or delete your information.

1. Who we are

This website, orbitlanelabs.com, is operated by Orbitlane Labs LLC (“Orbitlane Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Wyoming limited liability company with its business address at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States. We provide social media management and content marketing services, including content strategy, account management, paid advertising campaign management, and analytics reporting.

For personal information collected through this website and in the course of running our business, Orbitlane Labs is the “controller” (the party that decides how and why the information is used).

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information we collect when you:

  • visit or interact with our website;
  • contact us by email, phone, or the contact form on our website;
  • request a consultation or proposal, or become a client; and
  • otherwise communicate or do business with us.

When we manage social media or advertising accounts on behalf of a client, we may handle information about that client’s customers or audience (for example, comments or messages sent to the client’s page). In that situation we act on the client’s behalf and according to the client’s instructions, and the client’s own privacy policy also applies. Our handling of that information is described in Section 3 below.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and inquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, company name, website, the plan you are interested in, and anything you choose to include in your message.
  • Client account information — billing contact details, business details, brand assets, approvals, feedback, and other information you provide while working with us.
  • Payment information — payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We receive limited information such as your name, billing address, the last four digits of your card, and payment status. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

Information related to the services we provide

To manage your social media and advertising, you grant us delegated or partner access to your accounts through the tools each platform provides. Through that access we may see account analytics, audience statistics (usually aggregated), advertising performance data, and public or private interactions with your accounts such as comments and messages. We use this information only to deliver the services you have asked for, such as responding to comments, managing campaigns, and preparing reports.

We ask clients not to share account passwords with us. Where a platform does not offer delegated access and a login must be shared, we store it in an encrypted password manager and delete it when the engagement ends.

Information collected automatically

  • Server and security logs — like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to deliver the website, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.
  • Browser storage — we store your cookie preference in your browser’s local storage. See Section 6 (Cookies and browser storage) below.

Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from public sources (such as your company’s website or public business profiles) when preparing a proposal, or from people who refer you to us.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your questions and requests and schedule consultations;
  • prepare proposals and provide, manage, and improve our services;
  • process payments, send invoices and receipts, and keep business and tax records;
  • communicate with you about your account, deliverables, reports, and changes to our services or policies;
  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot our website and systems;
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations and enforce our agreements; and
  • for any other purpose we tell you about when we collect the information, with your consent where required.

We do not use information obtained through access to your social media or advertising accounts for our own marketing, and we do not combine it with other clients’ data.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws:

  • Contract — to provide services you have requested or to take steps before entering a contract with you.
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to inquiries, run and secure our business and website, and improve our services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation — to keep records and comply with tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.
  • Consent — for optional cookies or similar technologies, and in any other case where we ask for your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) are small pieces of data stored on your device. We use them as follows:

Category Purpose Requires consent?
Strictly necessary Remembers your cookie choice (stored in local storage under the key orbitlane-cookie-consent) and supports basic site security and delivery. No — these are needed for the site to work and to respect your choice.
Analytics (optional) Helps us understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We do not currently use analytics cookies; if we add them, they will load only after you choose “Accept all.” Yes

When you first visit our website, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser so we do not ask again on every page. You can change your choice at any time by selecting Cookie preferences in the footer of any page, or by clearing your browser’s site data. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website.

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting or send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because we do not sell personal information or use cross-site tracking on this website, these signals do not change how the site works; where the law requires it, we treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information.

7. How we share information

We share personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers — companies that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email and productivity tools, social media scheduling and design tools, password management, accounting software, and payment processors (for example, Stripe) and banking partners. They may use personal information only to provide services to us and must protect it.
  • Social media and advertising platforms — when we publish content or run campaigns for a client, we necessarily submit that content and campaign settings to the relevant platform, which processes it under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, and auditors, under duties of confidentiality.
  • Legal and safety reasons — when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Orbitlane Labs, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy’s protections.
  • With your consent — in any other situation where you ask us to or agree.

8. We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California and other U.S. state privacy laws. We have not done so in the past 12 months.

9. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those where you live. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or a provider’s certification under an applicable data privacy framework.

10. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. As a general guide:

Type of information Typical retention period
Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement Up to 24 months after our last contact
Client records, contracts, invoices, and payment records For the engagement, then up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
Platform access and any stored login credentials Removed or revoked within 30 days after the engagement ends
Account data and reports prepared for a client Returned on request and deleted within 90 days after the engagement ends
Cookie preference Stored in your browser until you change it or clear your site data
Server and security logs Retained by our hosting provider for a limited period, typically 30 days or less

11. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), multi-factor authentication on our business accounts, encrypted password storage, least-privilege access to client accounts, and prompt removal of access when an engagement ends. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Delete your personal information;
  • Port your information to another provider in a commonly used format;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (we do not engage in either); and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@orbitlanelabs.com or call (307) 364-6156. We will respond within the time required by law (generally 30 days for GDPR requests and 45 days for U.S. state law requests). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of that authorization.

If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy appeal.” If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Third-party websites and platforms

Our website may link to other websites, and our services involve third-party social media and advertising platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on our website or an email to clients.

16. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any rights you have under the mandatory data protection laws of the country or state where you live.
